WORKSHOPS

ARTblocks
Creative Placemaking Workshop

Placemaking is an approach to creating vital public spaces through direct community participation. In this workshop, we will flesh out creative project ideas for an empty lot at Charles & 20th Streets. The lot has been adopted by Man Alive Treatment Center, and the overarching goal is to create a safe, inclusive, green gathering and learning space for local residents, including seniors living in nearby J. Van Story Branch public housing. The space will include seating, vegetable gardens, and a food stand, but how it gets there and what it looks like will be determined by this community workshop. This process may be duplicated in any neighborhood, including yours!

Sun Oct 27 4pm

Liam Flynn’s Ale House – 22 West North Avenue Space

is limited and RSVP is necessary. Call 410-243-3834 to reserve a space.
